Northern Exposure 2010

We've been busy with books and not blogging really, but here are some pictures from our June/July Northern Exposure show exhibiting the graphic novel work and small paintings of the very talented Northcote resident, Michael Camilleri.

The art displayed consisted mostly of what Michael terms "working" pieces that have been collected together to form comics he has had published over the years in Tango and then most recently Going Down Swinging.

A lovely little crowd turned up to celebrate with us and we had a good two weeks watching people wander among our books, while marveling at his awesome stories.

Michael has written an article describing the inspiration and meaning behind his graphic novels for the most recent edition of Inscribe, available for free at most bookish venues in the Northern burbs including ours!
